Blogtober Confessions

It's October.

... what the hell?

I'm not sure what happened to September, but here we are. I'm not totally okay with this, but I guess I don't have much of a say. Hey there, October. Nice to... see you?

Because I am clearly an unbalanced individual, I decided to try another blogging challenge! Helene and Taylor are hosting #Blogtober14, and while I make no promises that I will post every day (because med school), I will valiantly attempt to do as much as I can. Sometimes, this means that posts will occasionally be mashed together. Like today! It's Wednesday,  which obviously means Hump Day Confessions with Kathy, so let's get to it.

Vodka and Soda

I am woefully under-prepared for this exam on Friday. This means that tonight, all day tomorrow, and tomorrow night are going to be hellacious. I apologize if you come into contact with me between now and noon on Friday. I take no responsibility for what may come out of my mouth.

Last night, I wanted to toss the kitten across the room because he decided that 2 am was a great time to step on Ken's face. Repeatedly. I felt so bad for him. I was still awake because my brain hates me, but come on Sinatra, work with us here. (NB - I did not toss the kitten.)

I didn't wash my hair for like, 4 days last week, and it was disgusting. Thank God for ponytails. (Sorry Regina, I broke the rules.)

I seriously don't understand SEO. Or why my Blogger stats are so very different from my Google Analytics stats. (What the hell is a "session" anyway?) Can anyone help a girl out here?

Sometimes, I'm really bad at link-ups. Like yesterday. I was totally stoked for Becca's link-up, "Blogger Men Tell All," but I didn't get around to posting Ken's responses until 10 pm. At least I'll have another shot next month... you should link up, too!

Our 3rd bedroom is still an unmitigated disaster. This gives me extreme agita. I'm hoping that I can remedy this at some point this weekend.

I don't eat enough vegetables. Ever. I like vegetables, so I don't know what my problem is. I need adult supervision.

I will never be someone who contours my face with make-up. Essentially, if I can't apply it while driving, 99% of the time, it's not happening.

Yes, I apply my make-up while I'm driving. Usually at stoplights. I'm a NJ driver, what can I say?

I ate an entire piece of Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake by myself last week when I went to dinner with Jenn. It was glorious. And then I felt terribly guilty.

If I won the lottery, I would pay off my student loans/Ken's loans, pay off our mortgage, pay off my credit card debt, invest a good chunk for retirement, and then with whatever was left, I would:

- Purchase a miniature pig
- Renovate our bathrooms to include some freaking storage
- Travel to Patagonia to visit the penguins (with Pam, obviously)
- Hire a personal stylist/shopping
- Get a blowout, a manicure, and a pedicure every week
- Whiten my teeth
- Contemplate liposuction
- Book a fabulously long and extravagant cruise to the Mediterranean
- Hire a weekly housecleaner
- Buy a Roomba (because I really just want to see what my cats would do)
- Buy books, pretty yarn, and expensive make-up without feeling guilty
- Donate money to an animal shelter, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and charities that promote and support mental health
- Hire an interior decorator
- Visit all of my friends who live far away whenever I wanted

Even if I did win the lottery, I would never stop working, take the money for granted, stop saving, or stop getting really excited over sales and great deals. I also would still shop at Target, although probably a lot more often.

And now I should probably go buy a lottery ticket, because as my Mom-mom always said, "If God wants you to win the lottery, you have to buy a ticket!"

What would you do if you won the lotto? Tell me all about it!

  1. Ugh, I totally don't get SEO either. I have loads of articles on Pinterest saved for me to read but have such a hard time just sitting down to do it. One day.

Hope you have a great day!

    Cheers,
